How to use TradingView with Topstep

Last reviewed 2026-11-01

Short answer: Topstep accounts run on TopstepX (built on ProjectX), which already has TradingView charts with trading built in, so for Topstep alone you can chart and trade in one place. TopstepX only trades Topstep accounts, though. If you also hold accounts at Apex, Take Profit Trader or other firms, Muunship connects your Topstep ProjectX account alongside them.

TradingView charts inside TopstepX

TopstepX is Topstep's own web platform. It has TradingView charts and order entry built in, so a trader with only Topstep accounts does not need a separate TradingView setup to trade from the chart.

Where TopstepX stops

If Topstep is your only firm and that is all you need, TopstepX is a sensible choice.

Topstep plus other prop firms in one window

Most funded traders hold accounts at more than one firm. In Muunship:

  1. Connect your Topstep account through its ProjectX connection.
  2. Connect your other firms' accounts, on Tradovate or Rithmic.
  3. Trade from one TradingView chart; stops and targets attach to every entry.
  4. Copy each trade to the other accounts in under 50ms, if your firms' rules allow it.
